I am a change agent and provocateur and thrive in environments that require rapid and radical re-imagination. With over 30 years experience in business, I helped shape some of the world's leading brands and was instrumental in the transformation of some of Australia's largest companies. An executive of local and international repute I have worked in Australia, Europe and North America and bring a unique combination of creativity, discipline and business acumen. I always ask what's in it for the customer and bring out the best in the teams I work with by creating the environment for them to deliver their best. I was named Marketer of the Year on 3 occasions and have been included in Forbes magazine's list of the World's Most Influential CMOs. Today, I put my experience as an executive and business leader to work as an Independent Company Director, Chairman, and Senior Advisor to drive shareholder value and customer outcomes for the companies I serve.

    The Global Poverty Project is an international education and advocacy organisation working to catalyse the movement to end extreme poverty. The Project was founded by Hugh Evans and Simon Moss and aims to increase the number and effectiveness of people taking action to end extreme poverty.

    The Global Poverty Project’s vision is a world without extreme poverty, within a generation. To reach this end the Project utilises the power of education, communications, advocacy, campaigning and the media to try and advance the movement to end extreme poverty.

    They focus on building a global movement for change: mobilising people to make a difference now, and changing the systems and policies that keep people in poverty.

    They do this in two ways:

    Campaigning for government, business and consumer action that will create important systemic change for the world’s extreme poor; and Building a movement that engages and educates people, and supports them to take simple but effective individual actions for change.

    As an Advisor to the founders and a member of the Advisory Board, I helped guide the strategy of the organisation and make introductions to corporate partners and donors.

    In addition, the Telstra People's Choice Award, with a cash prize of $5,000, is made to the most popular of the nominees in that year, as determined by internet and SMS votes from the public. From 2010, competitors began tp report on their activities via an individual Twitter account as part of the competition, and in 2013 competitors began using Instagram as a publicity tool.

    For 2 years, I was a mentor to students at the Sir Joseph Banks High School in Revesby, New South Wales.

Artworks celebrated the potential of the creative act to generate alternative worlds, and suggested that our belief systems may be constructed, changeable, even hallucinatory. With surreal, hypothetical and exploratory scenarios celebrating the possibilities of the human imagination, Grayson’s exhibition also had an underlying political intent, suggesting that imagining possibilities and alternatives is a deep human need. Gallery spaces were designed ‘to make the experience of visiting the exhibition akin to a video game or any other immersive environment’; performances amplified audiences’ experience. Examples included the appearance of artist Luke Roberts as the alien entity Pope Alice, who led a ceremonial parade of thanksgiving across the concourse of Circular Quay to the Museum of Contemporary Art, and Eleanor Antin’s performances of The Last Night of Rasputin at the Sydney Opera House Studio, which featured a fictional character the artist had been developing for 30 years.

    As an Advisor to the Board, CEO and management, I provided communications strategy and messaging counsel for the 2002 Biennale of Sydney.

    1996 marked a turning point in international efforts to promote socially and environmentally sustainable cities. The Second United Nations Conference on Human Settlements (Habitat II), held in Istanbul, Turkey, in June 1996, recognized that more holistic, inclusive and participatory policies, strategies and actions are required to make the world’s cities and communities safe, healthy and equitable. Habitat II, popularly known as the City Summit, was conceived as a conference of partnerships. It established a historic precedent by including in its deliberations representatives from local authorities, non−governmental organizations, the private sector, academia and other partner groups.

    Representing McCann-Erickson Worldwide, I was a member of the Communications Taskforce led by Mrs. E. Cisneros and provided advice on Communications Strategy and Messaging.
