About
I advise both Australian and international corporate clients on the broad spectrum of issues affecting the wealth management, funds, payments, crypto/digital assets, fintech and insurance industries. Key to this is advising on the application of the Australian financial services licensing (AFSL) regime and subsequently assisting clients to apply for and maintain an AFSL. In addition, I help clients with regulatory issues such as compliance and breach reporting and liaison with ASIC as well as agreements and promotional materials including disclosure requirements and policy wordings.
I also regularly advise clients on the application of Australia's AML/CTF and payment systems laws to their business and assist them with their AML/CTF compliance obligations, including AML/CTF programs and liaison with AUSTRAC in respect of breach and other reporting requirements.
In addition to advisory work, I also have strong involvement in a number of merger and acquisition deals involving major financial services companies.
