safety and enable greater efficiencies across the network. Known as PowerMET (Prediction
Optimisation for Weather Effects on Ratings Monitoring & Evaluation Tool), it estimates the local
weather conditions along line corridors to maximise line capacity and more accurately determine
the network’s operational risk profile.
By combining space-derived meteorological data provided by SPIRE and local topography
modelling, an accurate microclimatic model predicts temperature, wind speed and wind direction.
This hyper-local data can be used to more accurately determine the line temperature and allowable
current in each span of the transmission line, and hence the allowable current for the entire line. Show less

The business case included high level costs and savings of the move to the cloud with adoption of End User Persona’s needs and showed both significant savings and benefits that could deliver key transformation in both employee and customer experience, as well as operational benefits. This new capability could the transformation of the way engagement with customers, to understand needs for relevant services, with speed and reducing the significant costs associated with delivering face to face solutions. The Internet of Things Challenge held on the 28th Nov to 5th Dec 2015 with a vision to create the Smart City of tomorrow. Our Challenge - in one week create a connected "thing" that improves life in the city using the Tiny Arduino, Cumulocity as the IOT cloud platform and LoRaWAN, a new wide area coverage that uses cheap, low power modems that operates in unlicensed spectrum, like Wi-Fi.

Interactive Workshop: Next Generation Intranets; Using SharePoint for effective collaboration

This project involved extensive testing planning and remediation of over 3000 sites and 10,000 users to a SharePoint 2010.

This project invovled working with key business members, prioritising features for maximum impact and demonstrating the solution to the business.

This event attracts some of the best SharePoint experts from around the globe. It includes a range of business, technical content and case-studies. With over 500 attendees it is the largest SharePoint event in Australia.
