Hey I’m Theia (pronounced thee-yah) 👋🏽
I’m a Filipino-Australian marketer, grantmaker, and program and community builder who is passionate about creating opportunities for others to reach their full potential.
During 9-5, you’ll find me at Blackbird Foundation, where I deliver programs and grants, tell stories, and build community. I am focused on unleashing young people's creativity and uncovering and unlocking the most ambitious next-gen worldbuilders, creators, activists, inventors, changemakers, and founders. I look for young people who are hungry and unproven but have all the raw ingredients that make for an unstoppable force for change.
I’m also passionate about finding creative ways to deploy capital for good to support dynamic and scalable social impact programs. I believe that charities and not-for-profits are ripe for disruption.
Occasionally, I share my mental health journey with young people as a Lived Experience Storyteller at Batyr.
