“Thomas was my final project guide while I was at Monash University. He guided the team on Liquid Air Energy Storage (LAES) Technology and helped me with the simulations done on ASPEN Hysys. Throughout our time together, he showed kindness, patience and leadership while guiding each team member and bringing the best out of each one of us. He helped us understand the project in depth and supported the team through all the roadblocks we faced. Thomas has been one of the best professors I've worked under and it's because of him that I was able to learn new technologies and software which are critical to my growth in the industry.”
About
I am a senior lecturer in Resources Engineering with a background in Chemical Engineering. I have a track-record of delivering industry research projects related to liquefied hydrogen storage, liquefied natural gas, natural gas processing, gas hydrates, thermophysical properties, carbon capture and storage (CCS) and refrigerants. I have worked on research funded by Woodside, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI), Chevron Energy Technology Company (ETC), the Gas Processors Association (GPA), Schlumberger, Shell Development Australia and the ARC linkage program.
I have extensive teaching experience, developing and delivering units particularly in thermodynamics, resource project economics and management and bioenergy.
I joined Monash University (Clayton, Victoria, Australia) in 2017 and prior to that I was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Fluid Science and Resources group at University of Western Australia (UWA).
