About

After 10+ years in market research, across ad hoc, voice of customer and customer centric strategy, coupled with a master’s degree focussed on market research, what defines me? Not only in my role but as a human you will be dealing with? Please find my manifesto below:

• It is not just research findings which drive organisational improvements. It is the passion and socialisation of insightful research, succinctly presented which facilitates continuous improvement. Adopting and enacting research recommendations for customer centric decision making is vital to any successful organisation
• A high degree of technical knowledge and strong commercial acumen need to be matched with powerful communication skills and clear data visualisation to produce bespoke reports which are tailored to assist with driving initiatives and innovation
• Data is only valuable if it goes beyond reporting of one data source and instead uses multiple data sources to triangulate insights. It is not just having data (we all have too much of it) it is how you use it which can be uniquely leveraged by you to become a powerfully customer focussed organisation
• Thought leadership and outstanding research is about bringing new thinking to old problems; a commitment to ongoing learning is fundamental
• Always being curious and understanding how the research fits into the bigger picture will ensure a more effective research outcome rather than a quick fix
• And lastly, but not least, be kind, generous and enable the development of others. We always stand tall when we stand on the shoulders of giants.
