Seamless ordering and delivery

Ordered gift vouchers for a friends ‘big’ birthday enough for her to book a days course/workshop with you. She was absolutely delighted. Was a little late so paid for express delivery and it worked like clockwork - Thankyou x

Always a pleasure to deal with Sarah…

Always a pleasure to deal with Sarah Raven and to receive her informative and enticing brochures. There was a bit of a muddle with my last delivery but customer services were super efficient and polite in sorting it out. This is not always the case with other such companies. Thank you

Quality!

Starting with perfect packaging for plants and compost, continuing with deliveries at the right time for planting and sowing, everything I have received from Sarah Raven has been great. I am hugely enjoying the show of dahlias in beautiful shades and form, some producing flower heads of 8 and more inches across, and at the other end of the scale 5" high avens giving me carpets of orange - and my many blue and purple salvias are providing a lovely colour contrast and give protection to my roses from bugs. I'm a very happy SR customer!

It is easy to order from the Sarah…

It is easy to order from the Sarah Raven catalogue and online. Most importantly bulbs and plants are always of excellent quality, they are healthy and always have a good root system. The videos are also very helpful and informative.

Small Jade Vases x 3

These Jade Glass Vases x 3 arrived well packed BUT I decided to check them as intended for presents.
How fortunate that I looked at them as all three appeared to be covered in a greasy substance which has been difficult to remove despite washing.
Plus there was a most unpleasant smell on all vases together with the cardboard packaging.
I cannot possibly use the box packaging when I give the presents and hope the smell will have disappeared from the vases too.
Very disappointed with the smell and the packaging.
The vases themselves are good.

Arrived very damaged.

Not sure how this damage has occurred as previous orders were fine, however the Digitalis purpurea f. albiflora plants were upside down in the packaging and very broken. I hope they can recover. Disappointed.

Order still not delivered

Order still not delivered, 9 days after having been ordered. The website had said it would be delivered within 5 working days.
When I tracked the order, it just said " awaiting fulfilment."
I am extremely disappointed as I had ordered the plants as a birthday present for my daughter. I won't use Sarah Raven again.

Poor customer service

I ordered seeds which were promised in April - came in July with no apology. I also ordered dahlias, one of which came with dahlia canker and when I reported it as damaged, (complete with photos) never heard back. Disappointing customer service.

Always a joy

Always a joy, the website is beautiful and gives brilliant combinations of plants/bulbs. The quality is excellent. It makes buying a birthday present for a dear friend a simple and straightforward task. The catalogue is very beautiful and reminds me of the joys ahead with the change of seasons and successfully changed my mood from Eeyore to something much more cheerful and mellow.

Assured quality spring bulbs!

Easy to order online and descriptions of plants and planting advice first rate.

Plants are very well packaged and good quality boxes protect them.

Delivery advice updated regularly especially on plants ordered in advance.

I was looking Eucomis Pineapple Liiyfor something different…

I was looking for something different for my patio for next year and I watched various YouTube clips and made my mind up Eucomis the pineapple Lilly. I chose Sarah Raven company to order my bulbs which was very informative. Pink and White flower collections

I bought the Butterfly Pink Pot and White Pot collections from Sarah Raven. All the plants arrived in lovely condition. They grew extremely well in the pots (I bought 2 of each collection) and have flowered literally non-stop. I would never have thought of combining these flowers, so I am very grateful to Sarah Raven as these have been absolutely beautiful. And total bee magnets!

Poor service

Out of three different sets of seedlings in one order one group was delivered late, one was very late and one was cancelled after weeks of poor communication. I will not be ordering live plants from this company again due to the frustration caused by the delay.

I don’t like the fact that you take the…

I don’t like the fact that you take the money in full weeks and sometimes months before dispatching the goods.
The reply from sarah Raven website is disingenuous. They are saying that they cannot ring fence money, but that is essentially exactly what they should be doing when they are taking money before providing the goods. They should accept the order and deduct from the credit card at the time of dispatch.
UPDATE
That is the whole point. You are taking money weeks and months in advance which you have clearly said that you are not ringfencing it.
If you went bust, all customers would loose their money, furthermore customers providing you with free financing, but you often have reduced prices for goods that have been paid for in full and not yet dispatched.
It really rankles

Thank you for your review. Due to the nature of the business, some items can be ordered many months before despatch is due, we are not able to ring-fence money in bank accounts for this length of time - so payment has to be taken at the time the order is placed.

There is a time limit on how long we can ring fence money in accounts, normally this is 7 days which is not long enough for orders placed many months in advance - this is why we have to take the payment at the point at which the order is placed. Very satisfied customer

I have been a customer for a few years and always look forward to ordering bulbs, seeds, plants etc during the course of the year. The quality is always excellent and on the very rare occasions when something is not quite right it is quickly dealt with to my complete satisfaction. The website has a wealth of useful information and advice which is an added bonus.
