CITY OF BRIDGETOWN COOPERATIVE CREDIT UNION (COB) announces the appointment of Mr. Marcus Myers as the new Marketing Manager, effective Monday, 5th February 2024. Mr. Myers assumes responsibility for the marketing department, specifically targeting the organization’s strategic growth initiatives.   Mr. Myers holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of the West Indies, a Professional Certificate in Marketing Strategy from Cornell University, and is currently pursuing his Professional Certification from the Digital Marketing Institute in Dublin. Additionally, he holds a certificate with distinction from the College of International Radio Broadcasting and has experience in digital marketing and communications, having served as an independent digital marketer for several years. Additionally, his journey includes his role at the Barbados Accreditation Council as the Information Officer, the Section Head responsible for the Council’s marketing, communications and public relations strategy. He is also an active member of the International Association of Business Communicators, a global network of communications professionals.   Myers is most popularly known for his work in media as the co-founder of Research and Some Sense, an online infotainment video series exploring public interest topics and environmental issues. Furthermore, he has a notable history as a host on CBC's Mornin' Barbados and is recognized as the creator of the INO Podcast, the longest-running podcast in Barbados.    Mr. Myers said “COB started with ten Barbadians who had difficulty accessing funds from other financial institutions. In less than 40 years, it has grown to almost 70,000 people. This Barbadian story is one that resonates with me, and I look forward to contributing to its legacy.”   Chief Business Development Officer, Richard Black, commented on his recruitment stating, “We are thrilled to welcome Marcus Myers to our team at COB.
