Amyl Therapetucs is joining the 2024 AD/PD conference in Lisbon to learn about progress with Immunotherapeutics targeting abeta, TAU and alpha syn and also to consolidate exciting collaborations with research and development teams involved in in vitro and ex vivo assays and models in NDD. Amyl Therapeutics receives additional €5M funding to advance therapeutic platform. Investor base strengthened by Mr Evren Ucok joining as new shareholder and continued support from historical investors Financing will be used to accelerate development of Amyl technology platform to treat neurodegenerative diseases and AL amyloidosis. “I am thankful to our historical investors for their continued support in our mission and am happy to welcome Mr Evren Ucok as a new shareholder. We are also grateful to the Walloon region for its trust and long-term support,” said Pierre Vandepapelière, co-founder, CEO and CMO of Amyl Therapeutics. “The Amyl team has worked hard to generate high quality results and a strong proof of principle in AL amyloidosis. This new financing will enable us to develop our lead candidate in this systemic pathology and to confirm our very promising results in NDDs. We are already actively preparing our Series B funding, expected in 2024, to finance a phase 1 clinical trial of the lead compound and to develop molecules targeting other indications.”

Today, September 21th, is the World Alzheimer's Day. It is important to think about AD patients who are affected by this terrible disease ( ~32 Millions worldwide according WHO data). It is an opportunity to thank and congratulate all unlimited efforts of medical and social staffs helping patients and impacted families. There are also common efforts of Belgian and International research groups, biotech/pharma companies for working actively together and contribute to new treatment development that would possibly make a real difference for Alzheimer patient's future. So motivating according both confirmed medical needs and disease progression!

Amyl Therapeutics is proposing a new position: Office manager (M/F)  As Office Manager, you play a central role in the organization by supporting the full team on administration and central services matters. You will operate under the guidance and direction of the Chief Executive Officer of Amyl Tx.   Your main responsibilities are: ·      Office management o  Be pivotal to ensure well organized database and dataroom of the company; o  Ensure all legal , contractual, financial, HR, etc documentation is properly stored; o  Organize travels, internal and external meetings board and scientific meetings, appointments, etc. upon request of Amyl team members; o  Be the single point of contact towards the office owner and the third-party suppliers who help maintain the infrastructure (cleaning, security, etc.); o  Manage the office supplies and support the lab team on the lab supplies management; o  Organize and manage the coming move of the company to the LegiaPark; o  Welcome and redirect where appropriate any visitor or third party calling; o  Together with the IT expert, ensure that the IT infrastructure is well protected and backed up. ·      HR support o  Manage administration of employee payroll processing and be the single point of contact with the external social office; o  Manage the various fringe benefits granted to employees (health and group insurances, company cars, meal vouchers, etc.); o  Organize informal team events (lunches, activities, etc.); o  Be responsible to manage confidential data within the Company. ·      Accounting support o  Prepare and monitor administrative formalities and financial reports related to R&D grants (Win4Company programs from WR, Belspo, EIC,…); o  Collect supplier invoices and ensure they are handed over in time to the external accounting team; o  Be the single point of contact with suppliers and the accounting team; o  Manage expense reports and credit card expenses; o  Prepare payment orders from the accounting system; o  Ensure the follow-up between the quotations and the invoices. Your Profile ·      You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent through experience. ·      You have a minimum of 3-years experience in a similar position. ·      Ideally, you have experience in a similar environment of small Life sciences biotechs. ·      You are at total ease with modern IT tools, including project management tools. ·      You enjoy working multitasking being fully integrated in a small team. ·      You are able to prioritize, manage your own time and deal with unplanned requests. ·      You are result-oriented, autonomous and proactive. ·      You are fluent in English and French, Dutch would be a plus.
