The first policy brief in our new C4U series focuses on the optimisation of CCUS technologies at the cluster level. Based on C4U project studies, this brief identifies several critical technological factors for implementing CO2 transport solutions, as part of CCS in industrial clusters, and analyses the technical challenges and policy needs for CO2 transport. The brief identifies 5 practical recommendations for policymakers to promote economic, environmentally benign, safe, and sustainable deployment of CO2 transport for CCS. Excited to share our new article on 'Barriers and policy challenges in developing circularity approaches in the EU battery sector: an assessment' for Elsevier's Resources, Conservation & Recycling journal (IF 11.2). Responding to the limited available empirical work investigating barriers to implementing circularity in the sector, we provide an assessment based on a sample of companies across all stages of the battery value chain.
