As today marks the first plenary session of the new EU political cycle, let's reflect on the Joint European Industry Manifesto, signed by 85 European and national industry associations. In April, we united to make a collective call to prevent the risk of de-industrialisation on our continent by relaunching Europe’s #competitiveness. European industry’s demands are clear. Today, we were in Catania's Unesco heritage site, Monastero dei Benedettini, to celebrate Saga Medical Solutions, winner of EUROPEN #SingleMarket Start-up Award 2024 in the context of #GEN-E 2024. It was great to share this moment with this young entrepreneurial team from The Netherlands and to hear about the new business opportunities they are exploring since last time we met them in Brussels, only a month ago! Onwards and upwards! Thanks to JA Europe for our continuous partnership and for an amazing kick-off of #GEN-E 2024!

Last year’s winner of the EUROPEN Single Market Start-up Award, the Greek team SEaNSOR, has made significant progress! Collaborating with WWF, they are developing a pilot buoy to enhance monitoring and protection in Greece’s critical ecosystems. This buoy is expected to be operational this year in a biodiversity-rich protected area. SEaNSOR was invited to Slush 2023 in Helsinki, one of the world’s largest start-up fairs, where they networked with thousands of founders and investors, transforming their vision and approach.
