🚀Updates from our Partner IFP Energies nouvelles! 🌟 We're happy to share some important findings from our ongoing #research in WP7, focusing on a new generation of #halide-based #batteries. 🔋 ✨ Our dedicated team at IFP Energies nouvelles has made significant progress in understanding the materials used in these batteries. They discovered that certain reaction products help create a stable and efficient battery interface, leading to better performance and longer battery life. ⚡🔍 This was achieved through advanced computer simulations that showed how #lithium #anode and LYCB materials interact in the #battery. 🖥️🔬 A big congratulations to the IFP Energies nouvelles team for their hard work and groundbreaking discoveries! 🚀🔋

🚀 Our partner of the HELENA Project, AIT Austrian Institute of Technology, has made great progress in the development of the #batteries for the HELENA Project! Key protocols for the safe handling of HELENA materials (#halide solid #electrolytes, #cathodes, #anodes) and testing protocols for HELENA materials and cells have been established. These protocols integrate critical inputs from WP2 on testing requirements and WP3 on safety aspects of halide-based solid electrolyte #battery cells. 🔍 What's New? 📋 Comprehensive Testing Protocols: Covering both normal and misuse conditions to assess the performance and safety of HELENA battery technology for the #automotive and #aerospace industries. 🧪 Phased Testing Approach: Testing will commence with monolayer mini-pouch cells and scale up to multilayer pouch cells as they become available. 🗣️ Proactive Planning: Discussions are already underway to prepare an appropriate cell evaluation plan and action plan tailored to HELENA cell requirements. 🚀🔋As part of the HELENA Project, one of our esteemed partners, CustomCells , is working diligently to bring the technology developed by the consortium to an industry-relevant cell size. ⚡️Customcells will focus on cell capacities between 1 and 10 Ah, which involves the challenge of the production under dry conditions, as the critical component, the #halide #electrolyte, must be processed at extremely low humidity levels. To address this, Customcells has analyzed its current production process and has begun evaluating optimization possibilities to safely process the electrolyte. 🔍 Additionally, Customcells is planning preliminary tests with the developed halide electrolyte under various drying conditions. These efforts are crucial to ensure the successful integration of this technology into practical applications. 🧪 We are thrilled to see the progress and dedication of Customcells in advancing the HELENA project's goals.
