100,000 – that’s how many bees are part of the two beehives of Novartis in Vilvoorde. According to our beekeeper, they are very diligent (it’s up in the air 😉) and benefiting from the bee-friendly plants in the office’s vicinity. 🌼 Recently, our colleagues had the chance to witness bees up close and to participate in the honey-making process, starting with ‘unsealing’ the honeycombs and then ‘swinging’ them in a cylinder to collect the honey. Looking back on our Community Day with a warm feeling 🤗 Many volunteers of Novartis Belux took part in the day to support various healthcare organisations across Belgium as additional helping hands of the caregivers and health professionals who give their best every day. It was a day filled with meaningful activities: from working in the garden, making window drawings to baking piles of pancakes! Meeting so many warm and caring people made this experience together truly inspiring. This is the power of collaboration 💪 Radioligand therapy (RLT) can make a world of difference for people facing cancer. However, in order to realise its potential in Belgium, there are challenges in the current healthcare system that need to be addressed. Over the past months, healthcare professionals, hospitals, research institutes, universities, patient associations and public services shared their insights, resulting in an ‘RLT action plan’, led by the consultancy firm Inovigate, and made possible by Novartis Belux. Today, these stakeholders united to discuss the concrete implementation of this plan, because only by working together can we improve patient outcomes. Do you want to know more?
