After doing her master’s thesis with us, Kim Mai joined the team at Novartis. 100,000 – that’s how many bees are part of the two beehives of Novartis in Vilvoorde. According to our beekeeper, they are very diligent (it’s up in the air 😉) and benefiting from the bee-friendly plants in the office’s vicinity. 🌼 Recently, our colleagues had the chance to witness bees up close and to participate in the honey-making process, starting with ‘unsealing’ the honeycombs and then ‘swinging’ them in a cylinder to collect the honey.
