SRP attends the FOLUR Low-Emission Regional Rice Dialogue in Hanoi, Vietnam 🌍 From 9-12 September, SRP Board Members Catur Utami Dewi and Alan Johnson, SRP Executive Director Wyn Ellis and SRP Impact, Monitoring & Evaluation Manager, Rowell Dikitanan are participating the “Food Systems, Land Use and Restoration (FOLUR) Impact Program Regional Dialogue: Realizing the Vision of Low-Emissions Rice Across Landscapes” in Hanoi, Vietnam. This important event, hosted by the Vietnam Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) and The World Bank, brings together key stakeholders from multilateral and bilateral funding institutions, governments and private sector partners. 📣 FAO and ICLEI are hosting the first-ever Urban Agrifood Systems Global Workshop, bringing together diverse stakeholders to jointly develop a comprehensive five-year roadmap for sustainable, equitable and resilient urban agrifood systems. 🗣 Charlotte Flechet, Global Director of Rikolto's Good Food for Cities programme, will share Rikolto's experience in facilitating Multi-Level Food Labs with FAO in Ecuador and Indonesia. 💥We successfully kicked off the Africa Food Systems Forum AFS Forum 2024 with a side event on digital innovation in sustainable food systems, co-organised with Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT, International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), Digital Green and The Periodic Table of Food Initiative (PTFI). ✍️Some takeaways: ✅Digital tools can revolutionise Africa's food systems: From empowering youth to supporting women farmers, digital innovation has immense potential. ✅Collaboration is key: Multi-stakeholder collaboration is essential to refine and scale digital solutions for maximum impact. 🙌 We were honoured to welcome Clémentine Bakole from Bukavu. She's making waves with Sokoletu, an online platform that addresses food distribution challenges.
