    Talking about lifecycle management on heavy models in industrial context, is is very hard to maintain backward compatibility and to keep open space for innovation and evolution. The evolution of the heavy models needs to be managed very carefully to stay competitive and to leverage the costs on maintenance.

    The ITEA project MIRAI (Machine intelligence techniques for smart and sustainable planning and operation of IoT and Edge computing applications) focuses on a distributed artificial intelligence (AI) approach for edge devices. By facilitating edge computing approaches that scale vertically to the cloud and horizontally to other devices, Internet of Things (IoT) applications can be planned and operated more efficiently, securely, and timely.
