Alcohol Free Beer FAQs

Yes and no. Alcohol-free beer can (legally) be called that as long as it doesn’t contain more than 0.5% alcohol but you can find completely alcohol-free beers as well as those with up to 0.5% ABV.

There’s a couple of different ways that alcohol free beer is made – one is by removing the alcohol after the beer is brewed, the other is by using a clever strain of yeast that doesn’t produce alcohol during fermentation. We use yeast that fully ferments without producing alcohol – way less fiddly than removing the alcohol later.

You’d have to drink an unfathomable amount of alcohol free beer to feel even slightly tipsy. Some German students even did a test (that’s our kinda experiment) to see what their blood alcohol content would be after drinking 0.4% ABV beer for an hour. The results were not much. So if you’re the designated driver, don’t worry – it’s practically impossible for an adult to get drunk on alcohol-free beer.

We think alcohol free beers taste just as good as the regular craft beer. Plus, our non-alcoholic beers have some irresistible crisp, fruity flavours along with that zap of hoppy bitterness we all know and love in a good IPA. We're not saying it tastes EXACTLY the same as a regular beer - you probably will notice a difference - but when you fancy a booze-free drink at home or down the pub, our alcohol free beers will be there to support and cherish you.
