As reported earlier today, the new season’s fixtures were released and City will once again start away from home. Their toughest months will be November and February, but what do our rival’s fixture list look like?

Here, we take a look at the big games for Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea, while taking a peek at Newcastle, Spurs and, I suppose, United.

Arsenal

The Gunners kick off their season at home to Wolves and face their first derby of the season at Spurs in their fourth match, before travelling north to face City. Three tough matches await them in the autumn as they face Liverpool at the end of November in North London, then travel to Newcastle and Chelsea straight after.

The Gunners welcome United in December and face off against Spurs again in January. City visit in the first match of February and their two matches in March are at United and home to Chelsea. If the Gunners are hoping to secure their first league title since 2004, they’ll have to overcome Liverpool away, Newcastle at home and Southampton away in their final fixtures.

Liverpool

The nearly boys travel to Suffolk to face newly promoted Ipswich on the opening day, then two weeks later, visit United at Old Trafford. The Reds face Chelsea at home and Arsenal away in successive fixtures in October, before three matches at home to City at the end of November, Newcastle and Everton at the start of December. Their last match before Christmas is a home encounter with Spurs.

Liverpool kick-off 2025 with a tasty home encounter with United, then face City away and Newcastle at home towards the end of February. April starts with a home derby with Everton and finishes at home to Spurs. The Reds have a tough title run-in as they travel to Chelsea, welcome Arsenal and travel to Brighton, before finishing at home to Crystal Palace.

Chelsea

Chelsea finished quite strongly last season and they’re expected to be up at the right end of the Premier League next season. They start at home to City, then don’t play any top six sides until October, when they travel to Liverpool and welcome Newcastle to Stamford Bridge. After that, they go to United and welcome Arsenal in a tough four-match run. In December, Chelsea travel north to face Spurs, then back to Stamford Bridge to welcome West London rivals Fulham in their local derby.

January ends with a trip to the Etihad, while March ends with a visit to Arsenal. The following match sees them at home to Spurs and they face Fulham again on 19th April. Any potential title run will be tough for the London side. Liverpool at home, Newcastle away and United at home await, while their final match of the season is away to Forest.

Newcastle

Although not expected to be in the hunt for the title, Newcastle will have a significant impact on its destination. They start at home to new boys Southampton and the first big test comes at the end of August as Spurs visit St James’s Park. The Toon welcome City at the end of September and go to Chelsea as they see out October. At the start of November, Newcastle welcome Arsenal while December starts at home to Liverpool and finishes away to United.

Spurs away gets 2025 started, while February involves a trip to both City and Liverpool, but, thankfully for the Toon, 11 days apart. Newcastle host United in April, but a difficult schedule in May sees them away to Brighton, home to Chelsea and away to Arsenal, finishing with a home match with Everton.

Spurs

Spurs are, let’s face it, unlikely to be classed as title challengers but, like Newcastle, they could have a significant say on the final destination of the title. They start at new boys Leicester, then face Newcastle at St James’s Park at the end of the month. September opens at home to Arsenal and ends at Old Trafford, while November sees them back in Manchester to face the Blues. Chelsea and Liverpool at home are separated by two weeks in December, while January starts with a home match to Newcastle and an immediate away game at Arsenal.

In February, Spurs welcome the Stretford Rangers and City to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, while April starts with a trip to Stamford Bridge, ending with a visit to Anfield. If by some miracle, Spurs are in the hunt for the title, they couldn’t have asked for a better quartet to mess it up against. A visit to West Ham is followed by a home match to Palace. Their final away match is at Villa Park before rounding off the bottle job at home to Brighton.

Manchester United

For a change, United start their season at home and, as an added bonus, get to finish at home too. They face Fulham on the opening day and welcome Liverpool at the end of August. They welcome Spurs at the end of September and Chelsea at the start of November. A trip to Arsenal kicks off December and they take their first of two league defeats to City on the 14th. A home match with Newcastle ends 2024 at Old Trafford,

January starts with [a likely] defeat at Liverpool and they visit Spurs in February. In March, they welcome Arsenal, then City in their second match, and second league defeat to the mighty Blues, before visiting Newcastle a week later. United’s title run-in, if they’re up there, sees them travel to Brentford, hosting West Ham and travel to Chelsea, before bringing the curtain down on another dismal season at home to Aston Villa.
