Joe Lieberman looks a little too much like Palpatine.

If your an American don't vote for Senator Lieberman unless you want him to overthrow the government.

 

That's the big surprise revelation of Episode III. Darth Sidious is......Jewish.

Actually, some of us in America are starting to realize that our government already HAS been overthrown. The most Lieberman would do is take away our music, movies, and video games, while wiping his butt with the Constitution. He's a very strong supporter of goverment censorship of the entertainment industry, and feels that elected politicians have the moral right and duty to impose their own views on the rest of society.....because God knows we common folk don't know what's best for us.

Other people made the observation back in 1999 or 2000. I'm pretty sure that TFN used to have a Palpatine/Lieberman comparison picture, but I can't find it anymore.

Anyways, I'm not going to turn this into a Bush vs [insert Democratic candidate] thread, because that's not what it was intended for.

Lieberman may look like palps, but Bush sure as hell governs like palps.

 

He's a Democrat for the same reason John McCainis a Republican: although their ideologies don't really fit their party, it's to their best political advantage to be in the parties they're in.

At least that's my take on it.

 

Episode II joke aside, General Riekan and John Kerry look alike (especially Riekan's action figure). But the resemblance between Lieberman and Palpatine is pretty amazing.
Who knows, maybe being a member of the Democratic party is all a ruse and if elected, he'll will destroy the House and Senate, replace the Supreme Court with his cronies and make the army even more massive.

 

It's funny you should post this because I was looking at him trying to figure out who he looked like.

 

Whenever Lieberman is on TV,I always like to quote something from Palpatine's Senate speech in AOTC. It's usually "I love democracy,I love the Republic."

Every pic I see of Lieberman just makes the connection stronger in my mind. Heh, heh, heh.

But it looks like he won't even score his party's nomination, much less the government.

I never really liked Lieberman. My parents didn't either, and ya know, I always suspected there was a grander scheme to his campaign.

I agree George Bush governs a bit like Palpatine: i.e. the Patriot Act, invading numerous countries, then poising to invade North Korea. But that belongs in The Senate Floor.

I agree, not only does Joe Lieberman bear a striking resemblence to Episode I Palpatine, but John Kerry looks a lot like General Rieeken from ESB!

That could do wonders for his campaign.

Gary Bauer (or however you spell his name) also resembles a Nemoidian.
