Havoc

4 stars for Havoc by Nina Levine.

Havoc is the eighth book in the Storm MC series and it can be read as a stand alone. I actually haven’t read any of the Storm MC series before this book, no reason why. But I thought i’d give this book a go because the thought of a nomad biker was intriguing and I haven’t read a book with that premise before.

Havoc follows Carla and Callum aka Havoc. His road name comes from how he uses his fists to cause havoc around him when he gets mad. The story starts at a bar where Havoc and Carla meet. Havoc is back in Brisbane to check up on his dad and do some work for the Brisbane chapter. He left two years prior because of his problematic ex and the loss of his mother. Havoc may be back but he doesn’t plan on sticking around for long if he can help it. All Havoc wants in his life is to live on the open road and deal with club business with no connections to anyone. Carla strikes up a conversation with Havoc who at first isn’t really interested but theres something about Carla thats different than all the other girls. Carla is feisty. Havoc and Carla hook up and Carla understands that Havoc doesn’t do relationships, in fact she isn’t looking for one either after countless bad relationships in the past and a biker boyfriend was never in the plans for her, she wants stability. But then her plan gets screwed by a cheating ex, she fails collage because of a professor and doesn’t know what she's going to do with her life next. They have chemistry thats off the charts and neither of them want to stop hooking up but how long can they keep it up without someone wanting more?

Havoc is everything you want in a biker, gritty, deep, dark and he likes to be in control which also makes him the ultimate Alpha male. And Carla is the perfect heroine for him, she doesn't let him get away with anything and can hold her own when she needs to. She pushes Havoc to open up and share his feelings and past with her which helps them move forward in their relationship.

I really liked this book. The plot of this story is more focused on family and loss of a family member and illness than it is about the MC itself. I was drawn into the story and the relationship between Havoc and Carla from the first page. This story is told in duel POV meaning you know what both characters are feeling and you feel the emotions right along with them. I will definitely be adding the rest of the Storm MC series to my TBR list after reading this. Nina made these diverse and slightly flawed characters, their struggles and emotions seem real, she makes you wish you knew them in real life. Havoc and Carla are perfect together. This is a must read if you love MC alpha males and smart mouthed strong heroines.

I love STORM Series

Good book, read it in a few sittings, but I did find Carla a bit needy and a little crazy at some points. Although their story was different, it did feel a little repetitive and it was very predictable; but in saying that, I still love Storm MC, so it was a good read
