Since 2019, our #Quellaveco mining operation in Peru has strategically integrated the use of drones to significantly enhance our environmental monitoring and safety protocols. The captured images are processed and uploaded into a virtual reality (VR) platform which allows us to create a detailed, immersive representation of the entire mining operation. The use of this technology facilitates more proactive and precise interventions, enabling us to anticipate potential challenges and address them before they escalate. We have recently signed Memorandums of Understanding (“MOU”) with two major Chinese fertiliser companies, Sinochem Fertilizer and BeiFeng AMP, to further develop the market for polyhalite in China. Polyhalite is a naturally occurring mineral that contains potassium, sulphur, magnesium, and calcium plus traces of numerous micronutrients, making it an ideal natural fertiliser.
