The Small Island Developing States Capacity and Resilience (SIDAR) Programme for the Caribbean Capacity Building Workshop funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and implemented by the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC) engaged 30 technical officers and sectoral experts through a three-day workshop at Fort Young Hotel. Today, Monday 19th August 2024, the Ministry of Environment, Rural Modernisation, Kalinago Upliftment and Constituency Empowerment in collaboration with the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC) commenced a three-day training to technical officers and sectoral experts to build their capacities to develop climate change projects.  The training is being held from August 19th to 21st, 2024 at the Fort Young Hotel, Roseau Dominica and is being conducted under Small Island Developing States Capacity and Resilience (SIDAR) Programme for the Caribbean funded by the UK Foreign Commonwealth, Development Office. Dominica is one of eight CARICOM countries benefiting from the SIDAR Caribbean Programme, implemented by the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre. The workshop’s main objective is to enhance the technical skills and knowledge of participating officers, enabling them to effectively develop and prepare comprehensive project proposals. These proposals are crucial for securing financial support from major multilateral climate funding institutions, including the Green Climate Fund and the Adaptation Fund. #caribbeanclimate #caricomclimate #buildingresilience #futuresecured
