Earlier this month, the Altas team spent a few days together in Muskoka, Canada for the firm’s summer offsite.   The event kicked off with a town hall discussion with our CEO, Andrew Sheiner, reinforcing our objective, strategy, and priorities for the balance of the year. Various breakout sessions followed throughout the event focused on portfolio review, sourcing, team-building, and competitive racket sports! Former CEOs and Altas Advisory Board members Kathleen Taylor and Joe Natale joined us for a fireside chat centered around their professional journeys and the many lessons they’ve learned along the way.   The program included the launch of our inaugural Altas Values Awards, celebrating the outstanding achievements of colleagues who embody our Firm Values of Excellence, Teamwork, Caring & Inclusivity, and Integrity. Congratulations to all our winners!   We were grateful for the opportunity to spend time together in the beautiful Ontario lake region, strengthening our connections as a team and preparing for a busy second half of the year!

Altas is pleased to announce that Ryan Dowling has re-joined the firm as a Director after completing his MBA at Harvard Business School.   Prior to joining Altas in August 2020, Ryan worked at Bain & Company in Toronto, where he was involved in private equity diligence, procurement, and corporate strategy projects across a variety of sectors. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Applied Science from Queen’s University (Gold Medalist).

On June 20th in recognition of Pride Month, our Partner and Head of Talent, Lisa Dymond (nee Wiens), moderated a talent-focused panel at the 2024 Out Investors event in Toronto.   The panel shared insights on attracting, retaining, and investing in diverse talent as well as strategies for creating an inclusive culture that enables distinct voices, perspectives, and backgrounds to thrive and importantly, achieve superior collective outcomes.      Altas is proud to have supported this event in collaboration with Dawson Partners, Northleaf Capital Partners, and TorQuest Partners.   Thanks to everyone who joined us in celebrating and supporting Pride Month

Altas is pleased to announce that Andrew McIntyre has joined the firm as Director within the Portfolio Solutions Group.   Prior to joining Altas, Andrew worked at Bain & Company, where he supported a variety of industries, and Birch Hill Equity Partners as a member of the Investment team. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics from Queen’s University.

Altas is pleased to announce that Jordy Winkler has joined the firm as Director within the Portfolio Solutions Group.   Prior to joining Altas, Jordy worked at ResQ, where she held roles in Business Operations, Product, and Finance. Previously, Jordy worked at Birch Hill Equity Partners and SATOV Consultants. Jordy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Honours Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario, Richard Ivey School of Business.
