⚠️Canada is expected to face an above-normal #hurricane season. Storms are largely impacting the Atlantic provinces. Areas that don’t typically experience hurricanes, like Quebec and Ontario, are also experiencing strong wind and torrential rains from hurricanes. 🌪️   🔎Our recent survey found that 60% of Atlantic Canadians are concerned about the risk of hurricanes, especially residents of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, yet almost 50% haven’t checked if their home is in a high-risk zone, 25% feel unprepared, and nearly 1 in 5 would still buy a home in high-risk zones.   It’s vital to understand the risks and take steps to protect yourselves and your properties. We are starting to see auto theft trend upwards in other provinces than ON. Atlantic Canada has seen a 34% increase in auto thefts between 2021 and 2023. Aviva has started offering free installation of theft recovery device in Atlantic Canada from this month. In a recent interview with David Gambrill of Canadian Underwriter, our CEO Tracy G. calls for governments to close loopholes exploited by car thieves.
