We had the distinct honor of attending the StudentPreneur Demo Day at Edmonton Unlimited, in collaboration with Mitacs. Innovative startups such as Naiya Home, Click&Push Accessibility Inc., vCubed Solutions Inc., Morita Lighting, Nexarina, iSoft, Altire, Shopy, FreshKeep, Reframe AI, Lit Life, Fraction Plates, The Drive AI, and many others showcased their remarkable businesses. It was an inspiring event that highlighted the entrepreneurial spirit and creativity of these emerging leaders.

Judging at the ELITE Demo day was so rewarding, it was amazing to see the students build out their startup ideas using the different concepts taught throughout the summer, Huge Congratulations to U-eats, taking 1st place for the winning concept around student-centered food delivery in the university creating jobs and reducing wait times was incredible and the teamwork was even better. Special thanks to Prof Andre McDonald, Edmonton Unlimited and the University of Alberta.

Seed rounds , Pre-seed rounds, Company Valuation...are some of the different concepts learned at the ELITE Program for Black Youth financial literacy session held on Tuesday at the University of Alberta. It has been enriching coaching these young minds, and seeing how they understand entrepreneurship through the lens of their startup ideas✨ Special thanks to Andre McDonald, Edmonton Unlimited, and the University of Alberta.

We had a great time attending the C-Tribe x Tech C-Elevate Her Pitch Competition, the competition featured diverse, innovative solutions with cultural significance from CoLab Education, LiiT Care Connect Inc., The Celiapp, Nexarina, Oralee, and Aruna Revolution, Toothpod, Med Melanin, Binoloop making it a truly competitive and inspiring event. It was so inspiring to learn about the problems they are solving and the actions these startups have taken to continue to tackle that problem. Huge congratulations to the winners: Toothpod: First place, focusing on improving oral hygiene without a toothbrush or toothpaste. Med Melanin: Second place, fostering health equity for Women of Colour through technology, community, and personalized care. Binoloop: Third place, empowering organizations to streamline operations, enhance decision-making, and ensure compliance.

Day 6 of our journey to bring The Hive to life! 🐝 We’ve been making steady progress, and I’m excited to share the latest updates with you. 🎉 The kitchen is coming together nicely, we’re exploring different room styles for students to choose from, and the lounge and study areas are shaping up. 🍳🛏️🛋️ There’s still work to be done, but we’re getting closer to our vision every day.
