🚀 AAM 2024 Session Focus: "Let’s Make Some Room for AAM Integration" The diverse operations covered under AAM, from the simplest and smallest UAS to the more complex eVTOL urban operations, have one thing in common: they are often perceived as having the potential to disrupt the tried-and-true tenets of conventional aviation. Throughout its history, aviation has adapted and safely integrated new entrants into its system, and the same should apply with AAM. The new and promising technologies behind the AAM “evolution” offer new solutions for aviation stakeholders and new services for many outside aviation. This session will explore how regulators and other stakeholders can work together to realize the opportunities for safe and efficient integration of new and conventional aviation. Session moderated by Claude H., Director, Environment & Flight Operations, IBAC Confirmed speakers: H.E. Abdulaziz Bin Abdullah Al Duailej, President of the GACA - General Authority of Civil Aviation - Saudi Arabia James Viola, Chief Executive Officer, Vertical Aviation International Filip Cornelis, Director for Aviation, European Commission Mike Mueller, Vice-Chair, ICCAIA - International Coordinating Council of Aerospace Industries Associations 📅 Event details: Date: 9-12 September 2024 Location: ICAO Headquarters, Montréal For more information on the event, programme and other sessions, visit the event's page: https://lnkd.in/exUphMpP #AAM2024 #AviationIntegration #FutureOfAviation #InnovationInAviation #ICAO #AdvancedAirMobility

#ICYMI: Joby completes 523-mile flight with hydrogen-electric demonstrator! Joby Aviation recently announced a significant milestone, completing a 523-mile/842 kilometre flight with a hydrogen-electric air taxi demonstrator and landing with still 10 percent of its hydrogen fuel load remaining. The majority of energy for the flight was provided by liquid hydrogen. The hybrid-powered demonstrator retains the same airframe and aircraft architecture as its fully electric counterpart, utilizing six electric propulsion units for its tilting propellers and a unified flight control system.
