"Upon reaching top leadership positions, female employees’ engagement advantage disappears, as it’s nearly the same as male employees’ engagement at the same level. At all other levels, women are more engaged -- and losing their engagement advantage at the senior leadership level has significant implications." The first thing that hit me when I read this article is that many women in senior leadership roles may also be at ages where they are entering perimenopause or menopause. With the challenges that perimenopause and menopause can often bring, this could certainly increase the isolation that some women feel at the senior leadership level and thus be a big factor in their engagement within the workplace.
