On February 29, 2024, an application was submitted to the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC) seeking approval to increase rates for 2024 and 2025 for customers of the Burnaby Mountain District Energy Utility, among other items. The BCUC launched a proceeding to review Corix’s application and approved the requested rates increase on an interim, refundable or recoverable basis, effective March 1, 2024. On June 4, 2024, Oakridge Energy Limited Partnership (Oakridge Energy) applied to the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC) for approval of its revenue requirements and rates for 2024, 2025 and 2026, as well as approval of its tariff (Application). The BCUC subsequently issued Order G-169-24 starting the regulatory review process and approving interim rates effective July 1, 2024. Oakridge Energy is a limited partnership established by Corix and Creative Energy to meet the thermal energy needs of the Oakridge Park development in Vancouver, BC, through a low-carbon, district energy solution.
