It was inspiring to connect with industry thought leaders and to hear from Google Leads about the latest in privacy and AI-driven marketing. Here are 3 key takeaways I thought would help you get planning right away: ● AI is only as good as the data you put into it. So building a strong and durable measurement foundation is essential. 4 things to focus on; 1. Google Tag - to establish global sitewide tagging. 2. Enhanced Conversions - to use Google's signed-in database to fill gaps in the customer journey. 3. Consent Mode - to recover conversions lost to consent choices via Google's AI-based conversion modeling. 4. Google Analytics 4 - GA4 for cookieless measurement and activation. ● Chrome third-party cookie deprecation is scheduled for August 2024 (pending CMA review). DV360 & CM360’s approach to Chrome’s decision relies on 3 approaches; 1. First-party data and infrastructure 2. Google AI 3.
