Nous sommes ravis d'annoncer qu'Exterra Carbon Solutions a reçu une subvention du Ministère des Ressources naturelles et des Forêts (MRNF). Ce financement permettra de démontrer la capacité de notre technologie à produire du sulfate de nickel grade-batterie et carboneutre à partir des résidus miniers amiantés de Val-des-Sources et Thetford Mines. Un grand merci à la ministre Maïté Blanchette Vézina et au Pôle de recherche et d'innovation en matériaux avancés du Québec (PRIMA Québec) pour leur soutien à l'innovation et à l'économie circulaire. Big News: Exterra x Airhive Makes It to the Top 20 in $100 million XPRIZE Carbon Removal! We are proud to be among the top 20 finalists from over 1,300 entries worldwide in this competition, funded by the MUSK FOUNDATION. This is true validation of how Exterra's technology can contribute to rapidly scaling low-cost carbon dioxide removal. Addressing the vast climate challenge requires not just one solution, but a diverse suite of scalable and sustainable technologies. A heartfelt thanks to the XPRIZE team and our fellow innovators for their relentless drive and collaboration in advancing this critical industry.

The #XPRIZECarbonRemoval's Top 100 teams is a wonderful testament to the geographic and scientific diversity of our shared global effort to make carbon removal a large, impactful aspect of the bigger mission to limit climate change and rebalance Earth’s carbon cycle. ✅ Une première pour la décarbonation du Québec 🌎 Exterra est fière d’annoncer un partenariat stratégique avec Énergir Développement pour la mise en place de solutions de captage et séquestration carbone visant à soutenir la décarbonation des grands émetteurs de la province. Notre intention est de mettre sur pieds une chaîne de valeur durable pour les industriels desservis par Énergir et dont le procédé est difficile ou impossible à décarboner. En effet, le CO2 qu’ils émettent pourra être capté, puis stocké en surface de manière permanente grâce à la technologie d'Exterra, permettant une diminution du bilan carbone de ces grands industriels et donc un amoindrissement de leur impact sur l’environnement. Annuellement, le CO2 émis par les grands industriels québécois représentent plus de 30% des émissions de la province. Une fois opérationnel, notre premier projet commercial, Hub I, deviendra le plus important site de séquestration en surface au monde, avec une capacité annuelle de stockage allant jusqu'à 500 000 tonnes de CO2. Our intention is to set up a sustainable value chain for the industrial companies served by Énergir whose processes are difficult or impossible to decarbonize. The CO2 they emit can be captured and then permanently stored at surface using Exterra's safe technology, thereby reducing their carbon footprint and their impact on the environment. Annually, the CO2 emitted by Quebec's major industrial companies accounts for over 30% of the province's emissions. Once operational, our first commercial project, Hub I, will become the world's largest surface sequestration site, with an annual storage capacity of up to 500,000 tonnes of CO2.
