We are proud to announce our key role in the Lynnwood Link Extension project, which is now open to all riders! This expansion connects south Snohomish County to downtown Seattle, Sea-Tac Airport, and more. Hatch contributed to light rail vehicle procurement, traction power systems, train control, and communications. Our collaboration with Sound Transit highlights our commitment to quality and sustainability. The extension will add 8.5 miles of rail, four new stations, and three parking garages. Trains will run every 4 to 6 minutes during peak hours, with projected daily ridership reaching 47,000 to 55,000 by 2026. This project exemplifies innovation, collaboration, and community progress, showcasing Hatch’s dedication to a more connected and sustainable future. Learn more about our role in this project: https://lnkd.in/gNPKznqj #SoundTransit #Lynnwood #Transit #Infrastructure

The energy sector, like many industries across Canada, is responding to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action. These Calls address the long-term impacts of the abuse and assimilation Indigenous children experienced in residential schools.     One key Call to Action, No. 92, urges Canadian businesses to advance economic reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples. But how can this be achieved?      The energy sector is uniquely positioned to support Call No. 92 by providing Indigenous communities with equitable access to jobs, training, and education. This paves the way for capacity building that meets the needs of the clean energy transition.  💡    Learn more about the lasting benefits of establishing long-term partnerships with Indigenous communities in our latest blog by Monika Eby, P.Eng.: https://lnkd.in/g_9z9kKX        #energy #equitableaccess #reconciliation #HATCHblogs #HATCHinclusion

Last week, we were excited to welcome the Indigenous Trade Delegation from the Canadian Aboriginal and Minority Supplier Council (CAMSC) to our Hatch office in Brisbane.  CAMSC facilitates the growth of Aboriginal and minority owned businesses, by connecting them to procurement opportunities with companies and governments. This event was an exciting opportunity for us, as we partnered with the Canadian Australian Chamber of Commerce (CACC) and the Queensland Committee to host this event.    Our Regional Managing Director, Jan Kwak spoke alongside Melissa Wharton, CEO of CACC, Daniel Gschwind (Chair of Trade & Investment Queensland), Sarah Quigley (Acting Consul-General of Canada, Global Affairs Canada) and Justin Mohamed (Ambassador for First Nations People).  This event reflected the opportunities for Indigenous procurement and partnerships, and the important role they play in local and global supply chains. At Hatch, we are focused on proactively building Indigenous procurement and B2B partnerships with our clients. Taking valuable learning from our networks in Canada, helps us continue to build stronger Indigenous relationships in Australia.  #EmpoweringBusinesses #IndigenousCommunities #HatchInclusion #PositiveChange
