This was an unforgettable gathering centred on community and wellness. We want to give a special shoutout to our Pride Network Employee Resource Group! 🌈   During June and early July, the Pride Network hosted celebrations and provided education around the nuances of gender and sexual orientation.   The group also organized our participation in the pride & remembrance run. We’re still riding high from The Ride to Conquer Cancer earlier this month! 16 of our team members braved the 200 km journey, cycling from downtown Toronto to Niagara Falls in support of the The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.   The team raised $55,000 that will go towards cancer research, education, and care. A huge thank you to everyone who participated and our entire JWEL community for supporting this worthy cause. 🚴♀️   #InspiringBetterLives #Ride2Conquer 

Pride Month is a time for us to celebrate and recognize the invaluable contributions of the 2SLGBTQI+ community at Jamieson and beyond. 🌈   It's also a time to reflect on the history, progress, and future of this vibrant community.   “The original Pride parades were protest marches," explains Chantal, Co-Lead of the Pride Network Employee Resource Group at Jamieson. "And the 50+ years that followed were a series of legislative battles that would slowly give the 2SLGBTQI+ community the rights it has today.”   Fellow Co-Lead Craig adds, "Pride Month is a time to celebrate and reflect on the many contributions and sacrifices made by members of the 2SLGBTQI+ community. It is also a time to remind everyone that the fight for equality is ongoing, that barriers and limits still exist, and that the rights recently secured are at constant risk of being revoked.”   At Jamieson, one of our values is Respect.
