The future of clean energy is bright, but are we moving fast enough? We want to hear from you:

It doesn't just appear in our homes by magic! ⚡️ Electricity travels a complex route to get to us, guided by a system similar to our highways. Highways allow cars to move from city to city in the same way our electrical grid moves energy from power plants to homes, schools, and businesses. 🚙 On a highway, when many cars use the same road and exceed what it was designed to handle, traffic slows down or comes to a standstill. 🚗 When this happens, it’s time to widen the road or upgrade it to keep traffic flowing smoothly. The same goes for our power grid. As our world grows more dependent on electricity, how we manage this ‘electric highway’ will shape the future. To support the increased demand, we will need to expand and upgrade our grid. We hope this metaphor helps clarify the issues surrounding our energy needs and how it’s affected by the current state of our grids. We’re on a mission to educate everyone about the importance of our grid infrastructure, while also working to build the systems we need to prepare for the future. 💪

Whenever you plug in your phone or turn on your TV, you expect it to work without any issues, right?  Now imagine one day waking up and nothing is functioning. Not just as a temporary, inconvenient blackout, but a sustained lack of electricity with no end in sight. For many Canadians, this could become a reality if we don’t address the growing challenges to our power grid. By raising our awareness about the challenges facing Canada’s power grid and the steps we need to take to stabilize it, we can help shape a better future for all Canadians. It's up to all of us to advocate for the changes we need to ensure a stable grid.
