Kids Help Phone (KHP) is Canada’s only free, 24/7, bilingual e-mental health support service for young people. For over 33 years, we’ve unlocked hope for youth to explore their identity and navigate life in an increasingly complex world. Young people can connect with KHP from every corner of the country via our professional counselling service, our website of 300+ mental health resources, our text-based crisis support, our Peer-to-Peer support forums and more, in addition to accessing our youth programs offered within communities across Canada. We offer support without obstacles and help with any hardship. Because no challenge is too big, and no feeling is too small. With our unique experience in connecting directly with youth, we have the responsibility to play a major role in assisting policy makers in their search for insights and answers about youth mental health and well-being. We hope to deepen our influence as a leading advocate of radical landscape change for youth mental health. Informed by real-time data and insights, and fuelled by our ever-growing community of supporters, KHP will not waver in our commitment to build and transform access to more equitable mental health services from coast to coast to coast. We are in awe of Andre De Grasse, OLY's determination and resilience on his journey at the #2024Olympics. We celebrate his amazing athletic achievement this afternoon in the 100m relay but we also celebrate the inspiring human that he is❤️ Congratulations Andre & team Canada!

Throughout my career, I’ve always showed up on the start line giving my best regardless of the circumstances. The last few season’s have been a roller coaster. But I’m grateful for the high points, including winning the 2022 World Championship 4x100m title and the 2023 Diamond League Final in the 200m. I’ve persevered through injuries, illness and other distractions and have remained 100% committed to a sport, which I’ve grown to love and has given me so much. No matter what obstacles life throws in your way and regardless of how many times we fall, we always need to get back up! Although I had high hopes for getting back onto the podium in the 100m in Paris, I’m proud to have achieved my fastest time in three years in the 100m semifinals. Despite best efforts by myself and my medical support team, I just wasn’t in a position to defend my 200m Olympic title. There are still many goals I aim to achieve. We’re nowhere near the end! Onto the 4x100m relay finals. Thank you for your love and continued support Canada!🍁 Athletics Canada Canadian Olympic Committee

We are delighted to welcome Doug Nathanson to Kids Help Phone’s Board of Directors! Doug is the EVP, Chief Development Officer and General Counsel of Empire Company Limited / Sobeys Inc. In addition to heading Empire’s Legal function, Doug has leadership accountability for Real Estate, Corporate Strategy & Development, Strategic Sourcing, Communications & Corporate Affairs, Government Relations and Sustainability. Prior to joining Empire, Doug was General Counsel at Canadian Tire Corporation, and also served as their Chief Human Resources Officer. He previously worked with major international law firms in Toronto and New York. Doug holds a BA from Carleton University and a JD from the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Law, where he won the Angus MacMurchy Gold Medal.
