🤠 Yeehaw Calgary, we had so much fun with ya'll! 🔥 We had an absolute blast at the second last stop of the Blossom Investor Social Tour hanging with over 100 folks from the Blossom community (plus getting to enjoy the last day of the legendary stampede)... 💡 Other than meeting our amazing members, one of my favourite parts of the Blossom events has been getting to moderate some incredible panel discussions with our ambassadors. In Calgary we had two awesome topics: 💰 Investing for Beginners, Tips to Get Started with Brandon Beavis, Zac Hartley and Joyee Yang 💸 Growth, Real-Estate or Yield, Which to Prioritize with Adrian Bar, Daniel Pronk, and Bilaal Dhalech And for those who haven’t been able to make it out, here are some of the key lessons that stood out to me: - ⏰ The most important rule of investing by far is to just get started. The power of compound interest is your friend, and time in the markets is far more important than timing the markets. - 🔋 If you want AI exposure, don't just focus on the obvious players. AI is heavily constrained by infrastructure, and power players (like Brookfield $BN) have also been major beneficiaries of the AI wave. - 🇨🇦 A big pitfall investors make is suffering from 'home-bias' aka over-investing in companies in the country they live in. - 💸 When investing in dividend stocks, never forget at the end of the day, you're investing in the underlying company. Don't get so caught up in chasing yield that you look past the underlying business. - 🧠 Half the battle with investing is in the mind. For those who can't resist speculating, Benjamin Graham recommends keeping 10% of your money for more risky bets. And that's just my top five... the evening was jam-packed with electric and insightful discussions and there were so so many more incredible lessons shared! 🥹 These events are truly the highlight of my year and while I look forward to getting back to heads down on the app, I'm a little sad we'll be wrapping it up with our last event in Vancouver on Thursday. 👏 Thanks to everyone who's made it out to the tour and thanks again to our incredible sponsors Harvest ETFs, Global X Canada, BMO Global Asset Management, Moomoo Canada, and addy for making these events possible!

🌷 Last week, I had the incredible experience of attending Blossom Social's investor event in Toronto. Picture this: 600 investors and brand champions all under one roof. This is the true essence of community building. The standout panels at the event covered everything from real estate and AI to dividends, featuring some of North America's top investing influencers, including Braden Dennis, Daniel Pronk, Richard Coffin, CFA, CFP (aka The Plain Bagel ), Eric Pan (aka Ericnomics), Cody Yeh, Nathan Kennedy (aka New Money Nate Media), Adrian Bar (aka Canadian in a T-Shirt ), Shay Huang (aka The Humbled Trader), Joyee Yang, Navjot Bindra (Nav) (aka Grow with Nav Inc), and Matt Shoss. 📢 📖 It's one thing to see investor numbers tick up on a campaign page, but seeing this level of in-person support and endorsement is on another level. Hundreds of investors showing up to back a company and a founder they believe in—absolutely inspiring. The Blossom community is a melting pot of diversity, with people of all ages and backgrounds united by their passion for investing. The sense of kinship and community was truly tangible and serves as a compelling testament to the game-changing impact of equity crowdfunding. Not only does it empower local businesses, create jobs, and fortify communities, but it also champions diverse entrepreneurship and catalyzes innovation in our financial landscape. 🥳 AND THAT'S A WRAP!!! 🔥 On Tuesday we hosted the last event of our East Coast Investor Social Tour in Montreal and it was absolutely amazing... 😊 Unlike Toronto where I was zipping around organizing, in Montreal I had a chance to really relax and chat with some of the incredible members of the Blossom community. 🤩 I'm truly proud of how diverse the Blossom community is, with folks of all different ages and walks of life. I met people had just started investing, to folks who'd max'ed out their TFSA. People who were investors in Blossom and people who were hearing about the app for the first time. But with everyone sharing a common love and passion for investing, there was such an incredible and deep feeling of kinship and community with everyone I spoke to. 🌟 Special shout out to Kyle who drove 2 hours from Ottawa to be there with us, Mark who recognized me at the London Gatwick airport 🤣 and the over 150+ other folks who made it out!! 😅 While I'm SO happy to be off the road after a wild week of travel and events, I can't wait to meet more folks in Calgary and Vancouver in a few weeks!!
