Stop wasting money on flowers when you could be growing a garden (unless you have a terrible green thumb...but you get the metaphor 🌻 😉) ❌ Networking is the equivalent of those cut flowers that look great for 3 days, wilt and then die. ✅ Community is the garden that takes root, weathers the seasons and continues to grow. The Collective is our community - and you're invited. Ready to grow? Make sure you join the waitlist for more details and to be the first to know when doors open September 23d. https://lnkd.in/gQEUyuqr

Networking makes me feel like the neighbourhood Avon lady 😳 And as much as I loved flipping through those catalogues - this is not the look I'm going for. That's because networking feels like you're selling something. It feels transactional and that's why it feels icky. 🙃 You know what isn't icky? Community. 😊 Community feels good because it's about relationships. So if networking and selling yourself feels super awkward - skip it. ❌ Focus on finding your community instead. ✅ Do you want to join a group of supportive women growing their careers and changing the working world? ➡️ Get on The Collective waitlist today! I am obsessed. (For those of you who are new here I wanted you all to know!) When people ask me how I grew Moms at Work, what motivates me, how did I grow a business. That is my answer. It is my honest answer. I am a bit obsessed. Motherhood changed my career in ways I told people would never happen to me. I was ignored, overlooked, judged and shamed for having children both as an employee and an entrepreneur. I never want another human being to feel the way I did. To be treated that way while going on maternity leave. My obsession with making this better for you means that I am relentless, willing to fail, willing to take huge risks because success with these issues doesn't mean anything for me personally (my kids are older) but I wish I could have seen someone and a whole community of folks fighting for me when I was at my lowest. You are why Moms at Work exists. Never forget how important you are. https://lnkd.in/dH4YmdZN
