The CSRD signals a significant shift in corporate sustainability reporting, setting new standards for transparency and accountability. To help you navigate these changes, we’ve distilled the essentials into a single resource. 3 key facts from our fact sheet on the #CSRD and its #ESRS 👇 1️⃣ The CSRD will make disclosures widely shareable: Producing a digital and XBRL-tagged report becomes mandatory for all in-scope companies, making them both human- and machine-readable. 2️⃣ The ESRS are comprehensive: The initial set of ESRS comprises 12 standards, including two general disclosure standards (ESRS 1 and ESRS 2), and ten topic-specific standards in the environmental (ESRS E1-E5), social (ESRS S1-S4), and governance (ESRS G1) categories. 3️⃣ The expanded scope of materiality may prove challenging: Companies will need to assess their material impacts and dependencies—along with their associated risks and opportunities—not only for their own operations but from their direct and indirect business relationships in their upstream (e.g., suppliers) and downstream (e.g., customers) #valuechain.
