Today, we hosted a workshop for our summer students focusing on Conflict Resolution, Mediation, and Negotiation. This hands-on session equipped students with essential skills, enriched by real-life experiences, demonstrating how these competencies can enhance their professional and personal growth. Our speakers included Jaime Lawrence M.S.S, Q. Med., a certified mediator leading the Conflict Resolution and Mediation component, followed by Negotation that was led by retired Calgary Police Service member Harry H. We also invited students from our industry to join this valuable learning opportunity, including Athabasca Oil Corporation, Alberta Energy Regulator (AER), Birchcliff Energy Ltd., Spartan Delta Corp., Tourmaline Oil Corp., Obsidian Energy Ltd., Whitecap Resources Inc., Canada Action Coalition, Young Canadians for Resources. We just announced the close of our Peace River acquisition, which adds ~1,700 boe/d of Clearwater production and 148 net sections of land in the area. Congratulations to everyone involved in making this transaction happen, and welcome to those joining the Obsidian Energy team! Yesterday we announced both an operational update on our H1 2024 drilling program, as well as an important acquisition for the Company in the Peace River area. We want to thank all our team for all their hard work, talent and dedication to Obsidian Energy - those who work on our operations and development every day, and those involved in bringing the transaction to fruition. The acquisition is an important step for the Company, as it builds additional momentum and optionality around our previously announced three-year growth plan as we work towards realizing the full potential of our Peace River asset, whilst continuing to actively develop our compelling light oil business. In particular, we are excited about the additional upside of the land base, as only 7% is presently developed.  In the next few days and weeks, we will be actively engaged across our stakeholder base as we work towards the acquisition's close.
