Today, Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport is celebrating 85 years of flight from its iconic location on Toronto’s waterfront. Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport has established itself as a world-class, award-winning airport, providing a transportation gateway for residents and visitors alike, enabling trade and tourism, driving economic impact, facilitating healthcare and creating jobs. Our Toronto base (799) was established at the airport in 1977 and facilitates around 5,500 patient-related transports each year. Cheers to 85 years! #YTZ85 #medevac #airambulance

In September 2018, Dominic Depratto fell in the lunchroom at school. As a result of his fall, Dominic suffered a fractured skull, brain bleeds and a concussion. Big news! 🚁 The interim helipad at the #BowmanvilleHospital is now operational. This milestone represents a crucial step in Lakeridge Health’s mission to improve patient care and to ensure our integrated, regional health-care system can meet the growing needs of our community. The interim helipad will accommodate emergency air transportation until the completion of a permanent rooftop helipad, which is a central feature of the Bowmanville Hospital redevelopment plan. In 2015, when Hunter was two and a half years old, he developed a fever and was brought to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre for evaluation. Hunter was diagnosed with Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) and required #teamOrnge to transport him to London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) Children's Hospital.
