Are you going to get the Razer Blade 18?? Pocket-lint's Andre Revilla had great things to say about it! He writes "To say that the configuration I tested is a powerhouse would be a gross understatement." He tried many methods to see if would have any slowdown, but found none! He makes clear: "But no amount of running multiple programs at once, driving external monitors in clamshell mode, or gaming in 4K with maximized graphics and ray tracing enabled seemed to put a dent in the immense capability contained within its slim frame. Not even opening 30 Chrome tabs was enough to slow down this freight train of gaming performance." #tech #techreviews #laptops

IT'S OFFICIAL! Google officially shows the Pixel 9 Pro after many leaks have come up in the past few weeks. They announced it with two separate YouTube videos, showing us a glimpse at the Pixel 9 Pro and the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Pocket-lint's Ian Carlos Campbell gives his take with this: "The Pixel 9 Pro shown in the video and on the Google Store, appears to be both an evolution of the direction the company's been taking its Pixels for the last year or so, carrying over the rounded corners and flat front screen of the Pixel 8 line, and a capitulation to the flat, polished iPhone edges Apple's been iterating on since the iPhone 12. The big difference is the thing that always makes a Pixel stand out -- a giant camera bump. One that, in this case, is rumored to house 50-megapixel wide, telephoto, and ultrawide cameras." #tech #technews

Pocket lint's Abby Ferguson takes us through a breakdown this week of Canon's newest camera announcement! Canon hasn't had much going on this year in terms of releases or big announcements, so they've decided to come out swinging! She gives a succinct idea of what to expect from the two new cameras: "The Canon EOS R1 is the company's newest flagship camera, with fast performance, rugged build quality, and fast burst shooting. It's designed for professional photojournalists, sports, and wildlife photographers. Meanwhile, the EOS R5 Mark II brings an update to the incredibly popular high-resolution EOS R5 promising superb hybrid performance." #tech #technews

What we love Wednesday! "Before the Sonos Ace released, I actually hadn't tested a Sonos product before (shocking, I know). I knew the company had a cult following that sung its praises, but was still blown out of the water with the first ever Sonos headphones. On the first try Sonos nails comfort, a long battery life, and of course, incredible sound. And while I love my AirPods Max, the Sonos Ace are just so much more comfortable -- especially for long hours on the plane, making them perfect for summer travel. I have the white pair, but they come in a black colorway, too both of which are super sleek and stylish. So catch me listening to Taylor Swift on repeat with these headphones on the plane to her Poland show in a few weeks!" - Pocket-lint's Christina Darby on the Sonos Ace. #tech #techreviews #techwear

What did you think of Samsung's device launch during its July Unpacked event earlier this week? 🤔💭 Like some others, Pocket-lint reporter Roger Fingas drew connections between Samsung and Apple products. For well over a decade he says we've seen some degree of this -- copying key features and putting just enough of a spin on them to maintain plausible deniability. But in his own words, Roger says he doesn't think this is necessarily a bad thing, "Probably to the dismay of some Apple fans, I'm okay with this. In fact, I think the consumer tech world might actually benefit from more brazen copies, not fewer." https://lnkd.in/efxWBPtU #samsungunpacked #apple #samsung

Last week, I went hands-on with Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6. Both foldables feature subtle upgrades over their predecessors but feel very polished, particularly the Fold 6 (I love the squared-off sides). That said, it's disappointing the Flip 6 doesn't feature an edge-to-edge cover display like the latest Motorola Razr.

After trying Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6, subtle upgrades are just fine by me
