Big Lots has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. "Big Lots said it has been adversely affected by the prevailing economic trends that have led customers to cut back on discretionary spending on the retailer’s core home and seasonal product categories." via Retail Dive. This looks and sounds familiar to the Q2 performance seen across many North American retailers like The Home Depot, Lowe's Companies, Inc., and Target as they navigate the tightening world of consumer spending. 𝗟𝗘𝗧'𝗦 𝗙𝗜𝗫 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗖𝗔𝗡'𝗧 𝗦𝗘𝗘! 😎 Ever tried solving a problem without knowing it exists? It’s nearly impossible. Yet, that’s exactly what many 𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗣𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗥𝗦 do every week when they don’t leverage their retailer's Point-of-Sale data that’s right in front of them. In sales, the blind spots are often hidden in the numbers we don’t look at or understand. Retailer point-of-sale data, for example, can reveal: 📦 Which products are flying off the shelves vs. sitting stagnant 📦 Where inventory levels are at risk of stockouts or excess 📦 Which regions or stores need immediate attention 𝗕𝗨𝗧 𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘'𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗖𝗛 - 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗖𝗔𝗡'𝗧 𝗙𝗜𝗫 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗖𝗔𝗡'𝗧 𝗦𝗘𝗘. 😎 Taking a deeper dive into at your retailer data isn’t just about improving results – it’s about uncovering hidden opportunities and solving issues before they become costly problems. 💰 At Krunchbox, we help sales teams see what they’re missing. 📉 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗢𝘂𝘁-𝗼𝗳-𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗰𝗸𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗡𝗼𝗻-𝗡𝗲𝗴𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 📉 Have you ever wondered how much revenue is slipping through your fingers because your product isn't on the shelf when customers want it? Out-of-stocks are like silent sales killers—eroding your bottom line without a sound. 😱 But here's the thing: most companies don’t fully track or analyze their lost sales. 🔍 Why should you care? 𝙈𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙙 𝙍𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙪𝙚 𝙊𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨: Every empty shelf is a missed sale. Multiply that across all your locations, and the numbers quickly add up. 𝘾𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙧 𝙇𝙤𝙮𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙮: If your product isn’t there, your customer will find an alternative—often from your competitor. 𝙄𝙣𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮 𝙊𝙥𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙯𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣: Understanding lost sales helps fine-tune your stock levels, ensuring you’re neither overstocked nor out-of-stock. 𝘽𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙁𝙤𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜: By tracking and analyzing lost sales, you can improve demand forecasting and avoid future stockouts. Tracking these gaps is crucial for identifying trends, correcting stock issues, and making data-driven decisions that keep shelves full and customers happy. At Krunchbox, we help suppliers uncover the hidden sales opportunities lost to out-of-stocks with the power of real-time, clean POS data. 💰 💰 💰 Let’s stop leaving money on the table and keep those shelves stocked! 💡 Ready to track your lost sales? 👇 👇 👇 👇 👇 👇 👇 👇 👇 👇 Message me below or book an appointment above. #retail #inventorymanagement #sales #dataanalytics #outofstock #lostsales #krunchbox #posdataguy

I've trained hundreds of supplier sales reps on the power of Point-of-Sale (POS) data insights, but only a few of them continue, the real succussful ones, to use these insights every week. 💻 Next month, I'll share tips on how to get your sales reps, national account managers, and even your colleagues (not just the sales analysts) excited about leveraging their POS data to boost sales and strengthen retailer partnerships. It's guaranteed money in the bank! 💰 The top sales reps use this data weekly to make things happen—while the rest are often left wondering what happened. 🤷♂️ Stay tuned for more content, podcasts, and LinkedIn Lives in Sept. 😀 and chime in below with your thoughts in the comment section. #posdataanlytics #posdatamanagement #posdataguy

Many of the non-Krunchbox suppliers I speak with about their Point-of-Sale data management and analytic needs tell me their process is "good," but they rarely tell me it's "great". But what separates the good from the truly great? It's about consistently pushing the boundaries of what's possible, and it doesn't need to be complicated. It comes from innovating, challenging assumptions, and being willing to adapt and innovate. 💡 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴: In a fast-paced world, staying ahead means never stopping the pursuit of knowledge. Whether it's mastering new data insights, refining strategies, the journey to greatness is ongoing. 🤝 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: Greatness isn’t achieved in isolation. It comes from collaborating, seeking feedback, and building relationships that inspire growth both internally and with your retail partners. Imagine taking your retailer some really impactful insights that will help both your businesses. 🎯 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁: Being good is about meeting expectations. Being great is about exceeding them. It's about creating real value, making a difference, and driving meaningful results. Your retailer will thank you for this a million times. Lowe's Companies, Inc. posted its Q2 2024 results today, and the results closely match Home Depot's from last week. Both retailers blame slowing consumer demand on macroeconomic factors for their downward forecast. Comparable sales came in at -5.1% and are now forecast to drop 3.5 percent to 4 percent compared to last year, while the previous outlook was down 2 to 3 percent. Earnings decreased from the same period last year, and on the plus side, they beat the Street's estimate. Total Q2 sales fell 5.5 percent to $23.59 billion from last year's $24.96 billion. Let's stop your slowdown at Lowe's and maximize your sales opportunities by fully leveraging your point-of-sale data. Just ask me how! See the comment section for links related to the results. #Lowesq2 #homeimprovement #hardware #posdataguy

Walmart posted its Q2 earnings and beat the street estimates. Consumers needing to stretch their dollars in this economy headed to the world's largest retailer to do so. "Walmart said it now expects sales to rise by 3.75% to 4.75% for the full year, and adjusted earnings to come in between $2.35 and $2.43 per share. It previously said it expected to be on the high end or slightly above its initial full-year guidance, which called for net sales growth of 3% to 4% and adjusted earnings per share of between $2.23 and $2.37." https://lnkd.in/gBviHQUd If your sales aren't keeping up with Walmart's growth shoot me a message and we will find out the where you can grow, how you can grow, and what to do next all from your POS data. #Walmart #posdataguy #posdataanalytics

💡 A 5-MꞮNUTE PHONE CALL VS. 15 EMAꞮLS: WHꞮCH WOULD YOU CHOOSE? We’ve all been there—caught in an endless email thread, going back and forth, trying to clarify a point or finalize a decision. Before you know it, you’ve exchanged 15 emails, and the issue still isn’t resolved. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗮 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁: 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 𝘄𝗲 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲? 😱 There’s a certain hesitation around making a call these days. Maybe it’s the fear of interrupting someone, or perhaps it’s just easier to hide behind our screens, or maybe it's a generational thing. 🤔 (Btw...I started selling when all we had was pay phones and roll of quarters so maybe I am a little biased) 📞 But the reality is that a quick 5-minute conversation can often accomplish more than a dozen emails ever could. ☎ Why? 📞 Clarity: Tone and context can be easily misunderstood in writing. A phone call allows for immediate clarification. 📞 Efficiency: You can address questions, concerns, and next steps in real-time. 📞 Connection: Human interaction builds relationships, which can make future communication smoother and more effective. Next time you’re stuck in an email loop, consider whether a quick call could resolve the issue faster. Let’s embrace the power of conversation and save everyone some time and frustration and pick up the phone. #Communication #Efficiency #Sales #CustomerSupport #getitdone
