Under the leadership of Area Manager Keith Harrop, our Wabasca branch recently completed competency evaluations for operating a skid steer. Competency evaluations are conducted every three years for specific equipment like skid steers, and other heavy machinery to ensure employees are fully prepared to operate the equipment safely and efficiently. The training program involves theory-based and practical training phases, and successful completion is crucial for preventing potential risks or injuries. This is award was presented to one graduating grade 12 student pursuing a career in either the Electrical or Instrumentation trade with outstanding academic performance and conduct. Athabasca Area Manager, Michael Olson had the honour of presenting the award certificate to this year’s recipient, who was also awarded with a starter toolkit worth over $1,500!

PTW is hiring Structural Steel Welder's and Fitter's for work in our Calgary fabrication facility on a full-time basis. Candidates will be using FCAW/MCAW to work on structural steel projects like skids, handrails, and platforms. At least one year of experience in the trade is required for this position. If you are someone who can prioritize and execute multiple tasks quickly, can work effectively with team members and independently, then this position may be for you. Candidates can expect a Monday-Friday schedule with plenty of opportunities for overtime.
