𝗔𝗜𝗔𝗖 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗪𝗶𝗻! Government of Canada confirms AIAC priorities including defence for an aerospace industrial strategy. AIAC President and CEO, Mike Mueller welcomed the announcement, stating: “Following significant advocacy work, I applaud Minister Champagne and the Government of Canada’s commitment to develop an aerospace industrial strategy for Canada. Including defence within the scope is a significant milestone and we will be working aggressively on engagement with the government. I thank all AIAC members and industry for their continued support." Official Government of Canada Statement: While at the Farnborough Air Show, Minister Champagne engaged the industry on an Aerospace Strategy for Canada. As the Government of Canada continues to work on the development of this Strategy, it will look at important areas raised by industry leaders at the Farnborough International Airshow, such as workforce development, sustainable aviation fuel, defence, innovation and certification. Work will continue with other departments and engagements on the Strategy are ongoing.
