We're hiring: HR Partner Team Lead https://lnkd.in/g4BjXtbu The Human Resources Partner Team Lead (HRPTL) works with the HR Leadership Team and key stakeholders to create, develop and implement effective organization-wide human resources initiatives, polices and processes. Reporting to the Director, Human Resources & Labour Relations, the HRPTL provides advice and guidance to the senior management pertaining to the interpretation and administration of the RainCity Housing's various collective agreements, policies and procedures, and employment agreements. The Team Lead directs and oversees the work of the Human Resources Business Partners, coaching and mentoring the team, and building on their capacity to effectively deliver on program goals to ensure service delivery is cohesive, efficient, and aligned with the program model.     The Team Lead creates collaborative relationships with, and becomes a trusted advisor to, program leadership teams, in the areas of labour relations (including employee discipline), human rights, accommodation, workplace investigations. settlement negotiations, classifications and exclusions, employee privacy, disability management, and return-to-work. In addition, they maintain advanced and up-to date industry knowledge on best practices in all human resource and labour relations matters, as well as supervise Human Resources Business Partners and participate in their evaluation.  

As a non-Indigenous org serving many Indigenous people, it’s important to be aware of how the July 1 colonial holiday impacts Indigenous communities. The leadership of RainCity’s Indigenous Cultural Services department shared these important words with our staff: “Canada Day long weekend significantly marks the end of Indigenous History month, and our department requests you keep in mind this day can be challenging for Indigenous people. Ultimately, the country is celebrating confederation, which inherently overlooks the difficult history of how Canada became a country.  For many of us, we can choose to spend this day in reflection and engaging in the Truth part of Truth and Reconciliation. The reimagining of Canada Day to honour Indigenous People’s stories and histories is a step toward decolonizing. Finding small ways to support your Indigenous community in the larger celebrations is a great step toward being an ally and recognizing the important contributions Indigenous people have made to this country we call Kana’ta (widely accepted to be Iroquoian for village or settlement)." Message from our Department of Peer and Harm Reduction Services: The BCCDC changed its naloxone dosing recommendations in response to community feedback, recent research evidence, and the increasing toxicity of the illegal drug supply.
