#ICYMI: We've purchased a strategic parcel of land in Township of Woolwich, unlocking opportunity for a potential future GO Transit Station site and new mixed-use development including affordable housing. This new parcel is a milestone investment in Breslau and will help ensure that we plan intentionally as we quickly grow to one million people. The site is located along Fountain Street, adjacent the recently upgraded rail line and is ideally situated for transit-oriented, medium and high-density affordable housing and neighbourhood amenities. It will connect to Waterloo Region’s existing and expanding world-class transit system and provide new transit options to the Region of Waterloo International Airport (YKF). This purchase aligns with the priorities set out within our “Growing with Care” Strategic Plan including a strategic focus on Homes for All and Climate Aligned Growth. We remain committed to creating integrated, future-focused, inclusive and sustainable neighbourhoods as we grow to one million residents. Further information will be provided as planning for the site begins. Get the details: https://lnkd.in/g4SxvwSY
