Congratulations to the 25 athletes who are the 2024 grant recipients for the Coaching Education Program! ⭐️ Recipients of the Game Plan and the Coaching Association of Canada grant will each receive funding of up to $500 to help cover the costs of training to become a coach in either the Competition-Introduction, Competition-Development stream or the Advanced Coaching Diploma. Congrats to Para rower Jacob Wassermann, capturing the silver 🥈 medal at the Continental Qualification Regatta in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil this past weekend! The top finisher in each event secured a spot for their country for Paris 2024 however there is still a qualification window open through quota reallocation! 🤞 With only one season on the water for Jacob, the future certainly looks 🌟 ! Way to represent! 💪 🇨🇦 __ Félicitations au pararameur Jacob Wassermann, qui a remporté la médaille 🥈 à la régate de qualification continentale à Rio de Janeiro, au Brésil, la fin de semaine dernière! MOMentum supports elite Canadian female athletes with any family planning needs during their preparation and recovery from national team events through grants, education, mentorship from fellow athletes, and legal resources. The project is in collaboration with Olympians Melissa Bishop-Nriagu (Athletics), Mandy Bujold (Boxing), Kim Gaucher (Basketball) and Paralympian Erica Gavel (Wheelchair Basketball). The David and Mary Thomson HS Rowing Program introduces rowing to new Canadian youth, many of whom have had no exposure to organized sport prior to this program. Registration for the 2024 Rowing Canada Aviron (RCA) National Conference and Semi-Annual Meeting is now open!   This year’s theme is 'United by Water - Building Connections and Collaboration'.   The two-day annual conference will be held in picturesque Québec City, Québec on the traditional lands of the Huron-Wendat (Wendake-Nionwentsïo) Nations. RCA will welcome the nation’s rowing community from January 26-28, 2024, at the Hilton Québec, located on Parliament Hill and steps away from old Québec.
