Tourmaline is pleased to announce that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Crew Energy Inc. for a total consideration of approximately $1.3 billion. The acquisition continues Tourmaline's BC Montney consolidation strategy that builds on its long-term growth plan. In addition, Tourmaline has announced an increase in the quarterly base dividend to $0.35 per share, effective in Q3 2024. Congratulations to a group of Tourmaline summer students who recently won the Young Canadians for Resources case competition! Twenty-one teams from different energy companies were each tasked with creating two policies to simplify the federal government's plans for lowering emissions across the sector, and our students' practical suggestions and innovative thinking set them apart. We're proud of our energy leaders of tomorrow!

As Canada's largest natural gas producer, Tourmaline is investing in technologies and efficiencies to reduce emissions across our operations. Our partnership with the NGIF Emissions Testing Centre (ETC) Program, an NGIF Accelerator initiative, is one of the ways we support cleantech startups developing these critical solutions. We are pleased to share that, on July 3, the Government of Alberta announced $15 million of funding over five years to help the ETC maintain operations and expand its work, enabling Albertans to reduce methane emissions and keep powering the world. This funding will help companies test new technologies, attract investors, and get their technologies to market to reduce emissions worldwide.   "As a proud ETC partner, Tourmaline is committed to helping develop emerging cleantech companies while providing real solutions to reduce methane emissions. For the second year, Tourmaline was happy to sponsor Project Heavy Duty, a program offered by School District No. 60 in Fort St. John for high school students to learn about many kinds of heavy equipment for one school week. Qualified industry operators also teach participants how to service and operate each piece of equipment on the job site. Tourmaline was pleased to support the 47th CEGA - Canadian Energy Geoscience Association Student Industry Field Trip, which brought 24 undergraduate geoscience students attending schools across Canada to Calgary for an intense two-week course on the energy industry. In addition to sponsoring the trip's "core days," an experience that gave the students hands-on experience logging and interpreting sedimentary cores, we were happy to donate maps and wireline logs to help students participate in a geoscience exploration game.
