Western Canada's first green hydrogen liquefier facility could revolutionize BC’s transportation through the widespread adoption of hydrogen-fueled vehicles. Spearheaded by HTEC and powered by Vancity Group financing, this project will capture by-product hydrogen gas and convert up to 15 tonnes per day into clean, usable energy. That's enough green hydrogen to fuel a fleet of 300 trucks and 30,000 passenger cars, which will reduce the region’s reliance on fossil fuels. We’re excited to announce that Wellington Holbrook, has been appointed as the new CEO of Vancity Community Investment Bank (VCIB). Wellington has over 30 years of experience working with financial institutions. He has been key in leading ambitious digital, business and cultural transformations, from advancing research on digital transformation and modernization of the financial services sector and brings with him an impressive range of senior leadership roles from across retail, business and agriculture banking lines within Canada and across the globe. Wellington takes on this role from Nezihe Aquino who is pursuing a new role as Chief Operating Officer for the Global Risk Institute. We want to thank Nez for the expertise and experience she brought to VCIB, but most of all, her passion for impact and commitment to building a just world that is clean and fair for all.
