Our incredible journalists have been named finalists for the upcoming Canadian Journalism Foundation Jackman Awards for Excellence in Journalism and the Digitial Publishing Awards in the Best Data Journalism Category. 👏 Village Media was also recently named a winner of one of this year's Local Media Association Digital Innovation Awards for our custom-built polling engine, Village IQ. 🎉 All of this while preparing to launch our latest local news site, AuroraToday, and SPACES - our ambitious experiment to change how we connect on the local level. We are incredibly proud to announce that our talented team at The Trillium has been nominated for a National Newspaper Award. Charlie Pinkerton, Jack Hauen and Jessica Smith Cross are nominated for the John Wesley Dafoe Award for Politics for their deep-dive reporting on the influence of land developers in Ontario politics.
