In Toronto, survivors of gender-based violence often have difficulty finding and maintaining safe rental housing. This struggle can lead to homelessness, especially for women and gender-diverse people. Our Successful Tenancies study found that 63% of survivors had never accessed housing benefits available to them. We must address this gap and encourage survivors to utilize the support systems in place.
